SMOOTH SPORT TOURER
A motorcycle built for experienced riders to enjoy sport riding with touring capability from a relaxed position. Clean emissions with great performance, dynamic styling - featuring a single-sided muffler and all-LED lighting - touring seat comfort for both rider and passenger.
A host of technology on-board - including Electronic Cruise Control; a quick shifter; integrated Riding Modes that combine KTRC and Power modes; and 4.3" all-digital TFT colour instrumentation with smartphone connectivity.
IN-LINE FOUR CYLINDER
Powerful 1,043cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-line Four engine pulls strongly from all rpm and does not let up before the redline. The engine delivers superb response, a strong mid-range hit and an intoxicating intake howl. In addition to cleaner emissions for 2020, a change to Electronic Throttle Valves enables the addition of Electronic Cruise Control.
BRIDGESTONE TYRES
BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S22 tyres contribute to lighter handling, while offering enhanced grip in both dry and wet conditions, which translates to greater rider confidence and enjoyment.
QUICK SHIFTER
The Ninja 1000SX is fitted with the KQS - Kawasaki Quick Shifter - system. The quick shifter enables clutchless upshifts and downshifts for seamless acceleration and quick and easy deceleration.

An upright riding position, manageable power delivery, and surefooted handling offer the versatility for daily riding, while increased seat comfort, Electronic Cruise Control, and a host of accessories make it even easier to escape for the weekend.
WIND PROTECTION
Wind protection afforded by the full-fairing bodywork is complemented by a new windshield with four available positions. The windshield is adjustable by hand (without tools).

CRUISE CONTROL
Kawasaki's electronic cruise control system allows a speed to be maintained with the press of a button. Once activated, the rider does not have to constantly apply the throttle. This reduces stress on the right hand when traveling all day and through restricted speed zones.

ADVANCED ELECTRONICS
Kawasaki's latest IMU-enhanced electronics package, the Ninja 1000SX is equipped with integrated Riding Modes, new 4.3" all-digital TFT colour instrumentation, and smartphone connectivity.
The Ninja 1000SX has all of the equipment expected in a Sport and Touring motorcycle, including smartphone connectivity through Ridelogy The App.
KCMF (KAWASAKI CORNERING MANAGEMENT FUNCTION)
A compact Bosch IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) that gives a real-time picture of chassis orientation. KCMF monitors engine and chassis parameters throughout the corner – from entry, through the apex, to corner exit – modulating brake force and engine power to facilitate smooth transition from acceleration to braking. Assisting riders to stay on line.
KTRC (KAWASAKI TRACTION CONTROL)
Three modes cover a wide range of riding conditions, offering either enhanced sport riding performance or the peace of mind to negotiate slippery surfaces with confidence. Feedback from the IMU enables more precise control.
KIBS (KAWASAKI INTELLIGENT ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM)
Kawasaki's supersport-grade high-precision brake management system take into account the particular handling characteristics of supersport motorcycles, ensuring highly efficient braking with minimal intrusion during sport riding. KIBS also incorporates corner braking control, modulating brake force to counter the tendency of the bike to stand up when braking mid-corner.
POWER MODES
Sport, Road, Rain, Rider (manual) - All-inclusive modes that link KTRC and Power Mode allow riders to efficiently set traction control and power delivery to suit a given riding situation.
